In the same time period in which I began WAVE, I published a magazine called IN DIRE STRAITS.  Only a handful of people have seen this issue.  It included comics, movie reviews, and artwork and included a Fanny Starr comic strip based on the character introduced back in 1981 in the short film entitled, The Misadventures of Fanny Starr!  That video can be seen on the blu-ray edition of Female Mercenaries available from Alternative Cinema.

If the name WAVE hadn’t been developed by Mike and Aven, WAVE would probably have been In Dire Straits Productions.  That’s why many of the titles we did years ago were done under the name In Dire Straits Productions.
